Regular party organization vows no support for insurgent candidates seeking re election and caucuses to suppress the revolt are planned. The move signals a hard line against rebel members amid internal party conflict.
A major Pocatello Commercial club meeting at the Y M C A will select a new seven member board from eleven nominees. Regular and independent tickets list seven shared names and four unique names. The club plans to discuss a $200,000 federal building appropriation and elect officers from among the new governors.
Mrs Jeannette Stewart Ford indicted on blackmail and receiving stolen money. Star witness will be Charles L Marriner, ex treasurer of the Big Four railroad, already imprisoned for embezzlement, who says she received much of the stolen funds. Stewart Ford denies the charges and hints at revelations involving prominent city figures.
Chicago coroner Hoff man will personally oversee the inquiry into the death of Nathaniel F Moore son of financier James Hobarts Moore. Moore was found dead in his south side room under unclear circumstances and police reportedly delayed releasing the news for twelve hours.
Washington on January 10 the nominations of Robert T. Develin for U S attorney in the northern district of California were sent to a senate committee sub committee for investigation. The step suggests renewed inquiry into past charges about his conduct in certain cases.

Representative Townsend introduced in the house today the bill embodying the recommendations outlined in the special message of President Taft for amendments to the interstate commerce laws.
Four former employees of the American Sugar Refining company were sentenced to one year in prison each by Judge Mantin in the U S circuit court in New York. The defendants named are Charles Keechee Edward A Boyle Patrick J Hennessey and John M Coyle.
Spokane officials raised wages for laborers from 2.75 to 3 dollars and for eight hour teamsters from 5.50 to 6.50 dollars daily effective April 1 1910. Unions credit business agents for the campaign and report no strikes or trouble accompanying the increase. The city council approved unanimously after a committee of the whole discussion.
Ogden January 7 Albert F Potter assistant forester designated to succeed Mr Pinchot temporarily as chief of the United States forestry bureau attends the Woolgrowers association convention in Ogden He says no official notification has been received of transfer Potter will address the convention tomorrow and hold a heart to heart with sheepmen inviting a committee to confer with the forestry service to improve understanding Potter is a western man and entered the department as a grazing expert.
Philadelphia marks the 100th anniversary of Jeremiah S. Black born in Somerset County on January 10. A noted American lawyer, he served as attorney general under President Buchanan and supported the Union. He retired when Lincoln took office and later rebuilt a supreme legal reputation near York.

Grand President Foelsen of St. Paul installed officers for Schiller Lodge No. 2 of the Sons of Herman in Pocatello. About 60 Germans attended at Eagle Hall, with a parade to Bannock hotel, installation, lunch, and dancing. The fraternal society, organized in 1840, aims to grow to five lodges in Idaho for grand lodge representation.
