Soggy snow began at 5 30 a m and reached 5 14 inches deep by 3 p m in Pocatello, Eastern Idaho. Wind ranged 15 to 20 mph from south by southeast while trains kept schedules and highways faced little issue. Air travel halted with all transport planes grounded.

E J Id dings of Moscow head of the Idaho university extension service announced that all university activities with the Agricultural Adjustment Administration have been indefinitely suspended. He said no comment on replacements for the AAA and noted contested payments totaling about 14 million dollars to Idaho farmers.
Washington dispatch reports J P Morgan and Co disclosed that the U S government absorbed 294 million dollars of British war debts in 1918 as part of a move to refund and issue a new liberty loan. George Whitney defended the action, saying Treasury took the debt to avoid competing with higher interest securities. J P Morgan remained largely passive during the briefing.
Funeral services for Ralph Bayley of Riverside Precinct will be held at the Riverside L D S chapel at 1 00 P M Friday with Bishop H M Wray presiding. Interment follows in Riverside cemetery.

BLACKFOOT Idaho Jan 9 Robert N Parsons 81 a resident this community for over 50 years died at the home of his daughter Mrs H C Christensen Thomas on Wednesday. He was born January 14 1854 in Denver County Iowa and came to Idaho as a young man. Surviving children include Mrs P C Felsted Logan Mrs T O Fackrell Adrian Parson Mrs Philp Anderson Mrs H C Christensen Mrs Hazel vteral and Mrs J E Goodill of Blackfoot A brother Wun of Pocatello also survives Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 30 p m from the Thornton yard hall.
Representatives of sugar beet growers and manufacturers met Tuesday over a 19236 contract but adjourned without a deal. Officials expressed no consensus, with six prior conferences failing to yield an agreement and a second meeting planned with Franklin Sugarcamp and Preston Ellsworth leading the groups.

Twenty miners and truckers from the Blind Bull coal mine in western Wyoming were rescued after four days snowbound. They were isolated at Young's ranch six miles from the mine after a blizzard halted their departure. Civilian Conservation Corps workers and two tractor plows reached the ranch to aid the rescue effort.
The Court of Review of the Boy Scouts met Wednesday evening at the Science building on the university campus with Judge J. L. Downing as chairman. Twenty five boys attended and next Wednesday the Court of Honor will meet at the same place and badges will be awarded.
