A 12 year old girl was hacked to death and her mother and brother wounded in a drunken rampage by Sergeant Charlie Long of the Fort Moultrie post. Long reportedly slashed himself after attacking his family. The mother, German by birth, was in critical condition. the son had head injuries but may recover.
