A damaged portable typewriter and cutout words framed a ransom note demanding ten thousand dollars at five thirty p m on Montecito drive. Mrs Skeele telephoned her son Franklin an advertising man to report she had just been taken.

Henry Jarboe 56 a longtime Short Line passenger conductor died this morning at a local hospital after a weeks long illness from pneumonia and complications. Born November 15 1887 in Kansas City Kansas he lived in Montpelier Idaho before moving to the city 33 years ago. Survived by widow Elizabeth and son Russell of 528 South Main also by brother William a fellow conductor and sisters Mrs S R Yates Cody Wyoming and Mrs W O Adams Montpelier.
