Boy Fatally Injured Riding Train Near Anaconda
A twelve year old lad, Harry Nicholls, was found beside the Butte Anaconda Pacific railroad tracks with both legs severed. He died at the Sisters' Hospital that night. The boy, who came to Anaconda with his mother Mia Nicholls from Pocatello, Idaho, may have been attempting to ride a passing train when he slipped. No witness saw the accident and he could not explain how it happened.
