Baltic provinces fall under revolutionary control as workers organize provisional administrations and plan elections. Russian troops occupy and clash with insurgents in major towns. In Moscow large-scale street fighting, casualties, hunger, and bank closures disrupt daily life. reports claim 150,000 on strike with deadly street battles and lootings across the city.
A South Tacoma street car jumped the track on a curve at Thirty eighth street. A man waiting to board was ground to pieces under the wheels. The body was first thought to be a dog until boots lunch box and a five cent piece were found. The car plowed the ground a foot deep, reducing flesh and bone to atoms.
A white manager at a large turpentine still in Valdosta barricaded inside last night as a mob of Black men and women attempted to mob him. He opened fire, killing five men and two women and wounding seven others. Police and authorities reported from Ewing that the crowd dispersed after the volley.
