The Merical Employes association of the Short Line will meet tonight at 7 30 in General Superintendent R A Kerce s offices. Representatives will be elected to attend a Salt Lake City meeting on Monday December 21 where delegates from the entire Short Line will be present. A Boy Scout court of honor will be held this evening in the chamber of commerce rooms with 24 boys up for promotion under Scout Executive Bury Blevins. The public is invited. At the Y boys gym class builds pyramids before 5, volleyball runs 5 15 and 8 15 inter church league game Congregational and Presbyterian teams.
J D Fureht head of the Ford Auto Institution of Gooding and a well known Idaho business leader visited Pocatello today. He was shopping for Christmas gifts and handling business matters during the trip.
Miss Elizabeth Witty and Mrs. John W. Peter depart for Los Angeles on Sunday to spend the holiday vacation. Miss Witty teaches in the language department at the Idaho Technical Institute.
Guy Gardner district passenger agent for the Baltimore and Ohio with Denver headquarters is in the city on business. He visits here about every three months, and Pocatello lies in his district.
Mrs. E. H. Brunner and her daughters Audry and Ursula depart tomorrow for Los Angeles to spend two weeks on vacation. Mr. Brunner works in the architect department at the Oregon Short Line offices.
Gate City Temple No 2 Pythian Sisters host a Christmas night benefit dance at the Dance Palace with public invitation. A lodge meeting tonight will finalize arrangements for the event.
Mrs M Nixon of West Whitman returned from a weeks long northwest trip. In Seattle she visited her son James Nixon a student at the University of Washington.
County clerk issued marriage licenses to Ben Betts and Alvina Kraus of Nampa and Joseph P. Lacey and Pearl Rogers of Helene yesterday.
Mr and Mrs R F Taylor of the Taylor Players left last night for Rising City Nebraska to spend the holidays. They expect to return to Tocatello after January 1.
Mr and Mrs George Stanford depart tomorrow for Kansas City Missouri to be away over the Christmas holidays. Mr Stanford serves as chief clerk to the superintendent of shops.
A meeting of retail dealers in athletic goods and city athletic directors and coaches will be held this evening at 5 o clock at the Bannock hotel.
Mrs F D Nauman wife of the maintenance of way engineer left for Salt Lake City yesterday to spend a few days. All children of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs are invited to attend a Christmas tree party at the hall Saturday afternoon at 2 30 o'clock.
Mrs. W. H. Janke and her son Paul left yesterday for Delan New York. They intend to stop enroute in Omaha Nebraska and Davenport Iowa for a few days visit.
