Dynamite Damages Ky Tobacco Factory Amid Outrage

A tobacco factory in Elkton owned by Mrs. Penyek and run for the tobacco trust by the American Snuff Company was blown up with dynamite. The loss is total with no insurance, believed linked to the Dark Tobacco Growers association fighting the trust. A masked band searched a train for tobacco buyers. Trust cases called in Federal court in Chicago

In Chicago on December 12 the beef trust cases were called in Federal court before Judge Humphrey. After denying requests for separate trials the court ordered joint trials and jury selection starts tomorrow. The case against Samuel A. McRoberts, who testified before the grand jury, was dismissed.
