Pioneer cafe operator Fred Stedtfeld dies at 73 in Pocatello
Fred Henry Stedtfeld 73 of 170 South Ninth and owner of Freds Cafe died at 5 30 PM Saturday after a long illness in a local hospital. Born October 13 1874 in Indianapolis he moved west as a chef for the Union Pacific and later led cafes in Pocatello Idaho including the White House and Montana cafes. Survived by widow three sons Gordon Norman Harry and a daughter Alma with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements through Hall mortuary await word from a California daughter.
