The Ringling Brothers circus lost many animals in a fire that killed 30 beasts and injured five during the Cleveland show. An emergency hospital treated survivors as veterinarians battled to save others. Estimated damage reached 200000 dollars. the cause remained under inquiry with a fire chief citing possible cigarette or live coal ignition.

Stratton, on a state tour, plans to stop in Idaho Falls and Salmon.

Susanna Bransford Emory Holmes Delitch known as the Silver Queen of Utah dies in Norwalk Connecticut. Funeral services will be held in Salt Lake City with Rev. Arthur W. Mouton officiating. She was twice widowed and had been married four times including Russian Prince Nicholas Engalitcheff and A B Emery former speaker of the Utah House. Survived by sister Mrs. Jay Tarvin Harris of Salt Lake City.
Fire believed started in a kerosene motor used for an ice box destroyed the Bugbee Mercantile store dance hall and bar owned by Lena Bugbee. Loss unofficially 15000 including stock. Fire also gutted a nearby stone church structure and burned hillside grass near a private home before declining.
