All Sales Tax Petitions Sent Out Statewide Boise
Frank Kinyon of Boise, head of the anti sales tax league, says the last of 4,000 petitions for the sales tax referendum have been mailed from headquarters. Petitions seek 80,000 signatures with county clerks to May 6 and state filing by May 20. He is confident more than 17,000 valid signatures will be collected. Victoria B C April 27 Major J A P Crompton Esquimalt naturalist reports Cadborosaurus the Vancouver Island sea serpent back for summer. He sighted about 32 feet of the creature with three humps traveling 16 mph off Brothers Island. Crompton described a six foot tall neck and a disturbance in the water near the sighting. The creature, nicknamed Caddy, was first seen locally in late summer 1933 and has been witnessed by many since.
