The Oregon Short Line plans a $500000 to $600000 shop complex in Pocatello with work to begin this summer. General Manager Bancroft says the aim is to have the best shops in the West and plans are being drawn to finalize construction soon.
A contract for building a hospital in the city for Japanese track laborers on the Short Line was awarded to J. F Murrey this morning. The project will cost about 4500 dollars and the facility will be modern and well equipped. Work begins next week.
