A Joplin tornado leaves at least three dead and fifteen injured with extensive property loss across Kansas City and surrounding towns. Homes, churches, mines and factories were destroyed or damaged, while St Louis and Marshalltown report strong winds and widespread building damage.

New York April 26 The National Civic Federation mediation panel met with both sides in the anthracite dispute. No definite results were announced as a subcommittee was named to report next Tuesday. Senator Hanna said the meeting was very satisfactory and focused on core issues.

Manila April 25 Lieutenant Colonel Frank D Baldwin reports the Moros on Mindanao are surrendering. The Sultan of Pualo and other dattos submit with white flags replacing red battle standards. Baldwin orders a suspension of operations and General Davis at Zamboanga believes most dattos are friendly and a largely bloodless outcome may follow.
Policeman Peter Wrensted captured Manuel Lopez a Mexican Indian man near his home and had him jailed on a charge of beating his wife. Chief Ross filed the complaint in Judge Masonheimer's court. Lopez pled not guilty and claimed his wife abused him. Hearing set for Monday evening at 6 30.
Liverpool reporter quotes J Bruce Ismay denying reports that the White Star Line had been sold and that any American shipping syndicate held shares in the company. He spoke in an interview this afternoon.
Four thieves blew the vault at the First National Bank of Wickliffe Kentucky this morning and fled after an explosion woke residents. Citizens drove the robbers off and no money was taken.

Perrault refused to participate in Kemp's private interrogatories and sent a pointed letter declining to respond.
