Senator Borah says Prime Minister MacDonald is optimistic that agreements will be reached to make the world economic conference a success. The two discussed currency disarmament and other conference topics during a quiet breakfast with Mrs Borah and Ishbel MacDonald.
Ogden April 24 AP Mrs Alice Jones 45 was killed and Mrs Mary Jane Gibson 48 seriously injured when struck by an automobile while crossing a street. Driver Daniel Bertosh said he dimmed headlights as another car approached. Bertosh held for investigation and Jones is survived by husband two daughters and a son.
Giralomo Lombardi, 92, died this morning at his home 724 North Seventh after a long life in Pocatello. A native of Italy and former Oregon Short Line worker, he was a bachelor. He is survived by nephews Ferdinand Lombardi of 724 North Seventh and Marcus Lombardi of Bingham Utah. Remains are at the Downard funeral home with arrangements awaiting word from relatives.
Detroit golfer A. E. Dixon hit a hole in one on the 136 yard thirteenth but it did not count. He dropped another tee shot six feet from the pin and, after permission to play another ball, sank it in the cup.

C A McCammon of Colorado Springs is missing since last Monday and Peter Erickson 55 of Laramie Wyoming is also unaccounted for.
