Paris reports aviator Jules Vedrines died yesterday from a landing accident. A Lyons dispatch to Petit Parisien states the cause was the mishap during a flight, marking a fatal end for the noted French pilot.
Miss Margaret Carnegie, daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew Carnegie, married Ensign Roswell Miller of the United States Navy at noon in New York. The ceremony was small with few relatives and friends. Bride given away by her father, groom's brother as best man, no attendants. They will reside in Princeton.
Miss Maude Fitch of Eureka Utah wears the French war cross ribbon on her American Ambulance corps uniform as she arrives on the steamship Adriatic. Fitch served fourteen months in the ambulance service, some under fire, and declined to explain how she earned the decoration.
