Slayers Go To Gallows In Washington Double Execution
Harold Carpenter 30 and Walter Dubuc 19 were hanged at Washington state prison for the July slaying of Peter Jacobsen 86 near Olympia. The youths were executed in a newly built gallows after Dr. E T Allen, chaplain, accompanied them. Dubuc was the youngest ever executed in the state. Mrs Ethel Willis 26 of Olympia received a life sentence.

Gladys Munn Rites Set for Saturday
Funeral services for Gladys J. Munn wife of Clifford Munn of 337 South Hayes will be at 2 30 p m Saturday in the MeHan mortuary chapel South Arthur street with Rev Joseph Chester of the Methodist church in charge. She died Tuesday after a brief illness at a local hospital. Survived by her husband a six month old daughter her father Andrew L Hook of Berkeley California and two brothers Jim and Marshall Hook of Pocatello.
