In Aurora on April 8 John Anderson a plumber driven insane armed with two pistols a shotgun and three home made bombs terrorized a city block. He killed a woman wounded another and then killed himself after wounding Mrs Belford and Mrs McVicker, longtime friends.
Fifteen China pheasants and about a dozen pairs of Bob White quail were shipped to Pocatello from the state game warden's department and released at the T. B. Smith ranch on Gibson Jack creek. Fred J. Barnes and George Oliver supervised the release for the Pocatello Tilden Duck club. One pheasant drowned after flying into a creek. the quail adapted quickly as workmen fed them grain until they settled.
Washington reports both chambers in session as the house continues work on the Payne tariff bill for amendment. The senate also debates tariff policy and potential revisions.
