Pocatello District Awards Additions to Three Schools
The board of trustees for Pocatello independent school district No. 1 awarded the construction of additions and alterations to Jefferson Washington and Whittier grade schools to Brennan & Cahoon of Pocatello for a low bid of 284 587 with total bid 285 617 including board alternates. Three bidders existed Arrington Construction Idaho Falls Brennan & Cahoon and C H Elle J H Wise Co Boise failed to bid. Johnny Brennan said preliminary work could begin this week with all three additions to be completed by August 25 financed by a 700 000 bond issue. Basic bids were Arrington 302 000 Brennan 284 587 Elle 313 534 Paradice and Hunter are architects.

A woman was arrested in the 100 block on South Second on Saturday night charged with intoxication. Mr and Mrs Green reported hearing screaming and saw the woman kicking a small boy in the gutter. The boy and other children were taken to St Anthony hospital. the woman was jailed in Bannock County.
