In Berlin the Russians dismissed Western protests over the Soviet blockade while hinting at new moves to push American British and French out of the city. US airlifts carried food and passengers into Tempelhof and other Berlin fields at peak rates, with British and French coordinating similar relief flights.
Washington housing expediter Tighe E. Woods unveiled a one year extension requiring local rent advisory boards to have at least five members with one landlord one tenant and three public interests. Boards larger than five must keep the same ratio, governors appoint unpaid members, and a survey will check representation.
O. J. Bothne of Twin Falls touring Germany and Austria as Idaho representative of the Christmas Ship relief says Europe faces food shortages and black market activity. He notes Europeans fear hunger, hopes April Italian elections won’t trigger wider conflict, and that aid is distributed via German relief agencies under American oversight.
Officer George Lon reported a glass cut above the east door lock of the 8, & H. Food bank at Fourth and Clark at 12:15 a.m. Frank H. Smith, the manager, said there were no indications of entry. A light blue coupe with canvas top and a load of beef was seen near the east door around 11:45 p.m. Thursday.

The House passed a $6.098 billion foreign aid package 317 to 75. The plan funds a one year European recovery program of $5.3 billion, $275 million for Greece and Turkey, $463 million for China, and $60 million for UN Children’s Fund, with Senate-House compromise wording.
Police ask cooperation in finding Bill Dalton and Mary Hurst both 15 reported missing from Ogden. They were seen in Burley at 10 a m Thursday and are believed to have boarded a bus to Pocatello where a friend resides.

With about ten switchmen recalled to the regular board at the Pocatello Union Pacific yards, business shows a gradual slowup due to the coal strike. Pocatello serves as a major coal handling terminal.
James Lombardi of 739 North Sev ents was arrested yesterday at 9 10 p m on a charge of disturbing the peace. He was released on a 200 dollar cash bond after appearing before Justice of the Peace Charles W Hyde, per sheriff records.
Daniel Williams appeals a Porters and Walters club gambling charge. C M Jeffery, attorney filed in district court today after a police court judgment fined Williams $100 for operating a gambling game last Wednesday.

Leonard Hopkins reports a $100 radio stolen from his Chevrolet at 920 North Hayes while parked at home. A radio was also taken from a Chevrolet at 1015 North Arthur during the night. Louis Johnson reports four chrome hub caps worth $16 and two fender guide lights worth $3.50 stolen from his Ford at 637 West Fremont.

Three year old Stephen Hubbard son of Mr and Mrs Henry N Hubbard suffered a bruised right foot and was shaken after being struck by a Peterson Purniture Co truck driven by Carl W Peterson in the 300 block of South Second. Investigating officers say the pickup skidded 14 feet before impact and six feet after. He was taken by a passing motorist to Dr PF Miller in the Nixon building.
