Driver of Booze Car Plea Pleads Not Guilty to Murder Charge
James Curran alias Diero, driver of a liquor laden car that crashed killing Prohibition Agent William S. Grubb, 38, pleaded not guilty before Municipal Judge Schonfeld. No trial date set. Minister's Wife Defends Accused Pastor in Munice Case
In Munice Indiana on April 1 Reverend G Lemuel Conway's wife and three daughters testified for the pastor accused of attempting to attack Helen Huffman an 18 year old Sunday school teacher. Mrs Conway said Huffman was a dupe of Conway's enemies and claimed trouble came from enemies inside and outside the congregation. The pastor already faced a one year pulpit suspension after a church jury found imprudent ministerial conduct. Mrs Conway supported the alibi defense for her husband.

Bank Robbery Strikes First National at Green River
Bandits used a ruse to gain entry after hours at the First National Bank in Green River Wyoming looting about 27000 in currency and checks. Edward Taliaferro assistant cashier was bound and gagged as the vault was robbed.
