Palisades Dam Project Nears Final Federal Approval
Denver October 10 will mark a key step for Idaho and Wyoming as the Snake River compact commission in Cheyenne considers final approval of a draft allocation for upper Snake river waters. If approved, construction of the Palisades Dam and reservoir, now estimated at 94 million dollars, would receive legislative sign‑offs and work could start with reclamation as the construction agency. The agreement would allot Idaho about 96 percent of main stem water, Wyoming four percent with half unrestricted and half subject to replacement storage.

He argued ICC sets rates and a rail line would not lower fares, while UP planned a spring rate cut on perishable produce. PMID
