Commencement Week Opens for Pocatello High Class of 1949
Pocatello Idaho marks the approaching end of the senior year for the class of 1949 as Baccalaureate and Commencement events unfold. The 2 p.m. service features Rev. O R Watford and several local pastors with musical numbers. Commencement on Wednesday at 8 p.m. includes processional Pomp and Circumstance, salutatory by Harold Paige, a trumpet duet by Bob Swanson and Beryl Jensen, and an address by Dr George A Selke on International Problem and American Citizenship. The program also lists solos, a MacDowell Etude, diplomas awarded by Lavern C Johnson, and the valedictory by Miss Phyllis Pack.
