Idaho Democrats Seek Court Ruling on Four Year Term Amendment
Boise Democrats James Hawley and R W Beckwith say they will seek a writ of mandamus to the secretary of state to file nominating petitions for Frank J Keenan and G Moon and to challenge the 1944 amendment extending state terms to four years. They argue the amendment is invalid and the form of submission was improper and confusing to voters. Hawley noted notice was filed with the attorney general as required.
