Slot Machine Battle Moves to Idaho House Floor
Idaho lawmakers prepare for a tight vote as the state house considers outlawing slot machines. Revenue from the machines funds city services and public works, complicating any repeal with potential tax hikes or cuts to the general fund. Smaller communities fear revenue losses more acutely, while larger cities can better absorb the impact. The outcome hinges on revenue replacement and constitutional tax limits.
