Law enforcement reported no serious injuries while Wasatch and Tooele counties faced blocked highways and trapped travelers. Snow depths reached four feet with drifts double that, endangering 20 000 to 24 000 sheep and leaving many grazing areas perilously—temperatures hovered near freezing.
