Community fights America s No 1 killer Rheumatic fever
Syracuse groups form Rheumatic Fever Foundation to combat the disease that mostly harms children. Donations from individuals and businesses funded a new 40 bed hospital, medical equipment, outpatient clinic, and school health support. The effort includes civic groups, educators, and volunteers across the community.
