Navy experiments with film based education at Sands Point
The Navy launches a mass training video network at the Special Devices center in Sands Point New York to teach third year Merchant Marine Academy students at Kings Point. Technicians monitor the stage cameras to select angles while a classroom projector scales from 18 by 22 inches to 18 by 22 feet for close inspection of ordnance and gunnery topics.
