State Nurse Board approves Idaho State Hospital nursing program
The Idaho State Nurse Board, led by Mrs Esther DePartee, approved a 13 week psychiatric nursing training at Blackfoot State Hospital South with capacity for 21 to 40 students. They visited to inspect facilities and teaching staff, noting new staff and expanded housing needs, with first classes starting December 14, 1948.
