Two Methods Back County Grain Prices
Grain price support for Bannock county farmers comes via two approaches for 1948: commodity loans and purchase agreements, with terms similar to 1947. Loans set per bushel rates at 1.62 for wheat 1.03 for farm stored barley 0.96 for warehouse stored barley and 0.67 for oats. Producers may report total bushels for option to deliver to the CCC and then sell on the market or deliver optioned grain at the support price. CCC will take grain after April 30, 1949 or on demand.
