War cause is theme of talk at peace conference
Dr. Quincy Wright of the University of Chicago told a three day Idaho peace meeting that declining stability in power politics fuels modern wars. He warned that fear of military deterioration prompts rival nations to threaten war and noted economic differences as a war factor. Wright described the world as inadequately organized and often misunderstood, likening it to anarchy rather than a true society.
