Murder in Condor Canyon over disputed bottle
McDonald, a man of below medium size, killed Gust Waldburg in McDonald’s saloon after a quarrel over a bottle of whisky. Waldburg, known as the Big Swede, attacked with a bottle. McDonald drew a razor and wounded him in the neck, leading to Waldburg’s death shortly after. Preliminary hearing freed McDonald with the court deeming the act justified.
