A rambling late 19th century lay out covers Washington landmarks and figures. It lists the Capitol’s weight and size, the number of government workers, rail mileage, tax figures, and pensions. It notes a Mendocino night marshal Pitney and a Tibetan practice of polygamy. The piece mentions the Year’s tally of executions and grave fills.
District Court conducted a second trial of a Covelo saloon keeper charged with selling liquor to Indians on the Rownd Valley Indian Reservation edge in Mendocino County.
