William A. Clark Jr and party including Lauzier Ryan and Frank from Butte Montana arrived Monday to examine E and F Mining properties in Bristol Mining District. They returned Tuesday, departed for Salt Lake City Wednesday. Clark predicted rapid Pioche Caliente Railroad progress and expected Pioche to regain prominence as a major producer with a future visit likely.

Henry Lee Sells Blue Crane Mining Claims in Bristol Belt
Henry Lee and Joseph Free sell the Blue Crane Nos 1 2 3 and 4 mining claims in the Bristol district to William R. Wallace of Salt Lake City. The buyer also acquires a large stock block in the working corporation. The Bristol belt lies between the Bristol patented mines and the E FL property. The purchaser plans to consolidate these claims with the Avon group to create a large contiguous mining unit.

Boston Probe Co Develops Boss claim in mineral belt near Caliente
The Boston Probe Company extends its mining holdings along the mineral belt from Stampede Gap to Alps Mine east of town. Plans and rapid work aim to sink a double compartment shaft on the Boss claim about a quarter mile east of Phoebe, developing the property to a depth to establish it as a major producer. Two shifts are employed, with timbering to ensure safety, and Washington timber shipments are arriving for use. The incline shaft, five by four and a half feet per compartment, will be oriented to reach nearby porphyry dykes, including one connected to the Yuba mines. Supervisors include General Manager Shas. Lee Horsey, attorney Torsey, and Boston financier Chas. S. Miller, with Wm Lloyd as Consulting Engineer, all confident in substantial results from this district.

Dr. Harry A. McDonald of Boston secured options on two Pioche mining claims the Victor and the Apex. Victor owned by Henry Welland and Joseph Foster carries a sixty day option at five thousand dollars with March fifteenth first payment. Apex, owned by Joseph Foster and Cyril Del Carte, has a deep shaft and crosscuts with ore resembling the No. 9 Shaft. Purchasers plan to start work soon while Lincoln Nevada Mining stockholders and Col. W B McSherry inspected Pioche properties.
