The Pioche assessor complete the town wide real estate assessment showing a 250 percent increase over last year on a front foot basis. The table lists front foot rates by blocks with various rates in business and residential districts across blocks 1 through 87.

President Miller Returns From Coast Mining Talks

President Chas. 8. Miller of the Boston Pioche Mining Company arrived Thursday after a rapid trip to Boston via Los Angeles and San Francisco. He is here to finalize large mining deals under consideration. W. S. Couch has marble from Blind Mountain quarry, carving monuments with a fine polish and authentic appearance.

Nevada Horn Silver Mining Company Formed in Pioche

The Nevada Horn Silver Mining Company filed articles Monday to work the Horn Silver group near Bailey Springs about three miles from Bristol. Capitalized at one million shares, 4000 issued with 1000 to be sold now. 50,000 already subscribed in England, rest to be sold in Pioche, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City. Officers Likely George Weddell president Edward Thom arson secretary and treasurer Charles Miller vice president. board includes Wm. Lloyd and J. L. Whipple.

McFadden Mine Sold For Ten Thousand

The Boston Pioche Mining Company purchased the McFadden mine from A W Scott for 10000 in cash. The deal, praised as a major local mine sale, includes development work and plans for extensive operations beginning in July. The firm also holds options on the Scranton and Lookout claims east of Pioche as part of a wider territorial acquisition.

Ore Bodies of the Prince Mine Revealed Near Pioche

A reporter toured the Prince mine three miles east of Pioche and found an immense ore body. Phoenix Reduction Company owns the mine and Bullionville tailings and plans a smelter. A 40-hp hoist, air compressor, drills, and camp facilities are readied as development continues under WM Lloyd.

Assessor John F Roeder and Der Sawyer promote a five claim group in Jack Rabbit Mining District near Burnt Canyon with strong surface showings. A previously worked principal claim features a shaft twenty feet deep and a defined ledge suggesting permanent ore bodies. Developers to begin locating and development work. Mr. Geo. Coxe, a leading mining promoter, returned from New Orleans and organized a Groom district mining company with $1,500,000 capitalization. Fifty thousand shares are in the treasury, and subscriptions for most shares were secured. W. H. Fees is named president. Coxe departs for the properties tomorrow.

Fourth of July committee receives telegram about mailed check

Members of the arrangement committee for the Fourth of July received a telegram from E. F. Freudenthal in New York City stating he had mailed a substantial check for use in making the celebration a success.

Searchlight Gold Notes and New Strike at Golden Calf

A transfer of the Kirkeby property to Quarto Development Company of Rochester N Y with Noel Davenport to run it may yield three east west ledges and one north south ledge of porphyritic quartz. A new strike at Golden Calf shows hornings across the ledge and options secured on surrounding claims. The valuable ore from New Year’s Gift to Searchlight lies between the mines with ore estimated at ten to twenty thousand dollars per ton. The Duplex mine, origin of the town name, remains in the hands of its discoverer Fred Colton who refuses to sell. Nevada mining activity surges as numerous companies form and property transfers accelerate this fall.

Ely Valley Group Sold To Edward Thomarson

Mr Henry Eiler and Wm Harrison transfer the Ely Valley mining claims one mile west of town to Edward Thomarson of Pioche. The vein hosts lead silver and gold values and development will push after forming a corporation. Two men currently prep the property while a larger crew is planned. A Fourth of July planning meeting was held with music committee updates and vacancies filled with J M Cleine Alex Orr joining John G Brown.
