The two day celebration on the Fourth and Fifth was a success with committees providing amusements. Highlights included a rill contest won by Pierson and Deck, a lively afternoon on Lacour street, a strong literary program, and evening dances. Horse races at the four mile house featured Tracey winning and a gray pony taking the saddle race. An afternoon ball game between local nines added league quality.
