Fourth of July Celebrations and Community Notices
The Fourth featured a post office gathering, hall exercises presided by Judge Wm. Orr, recitations by Dorthy Price and Mamie Orr, and a strong oration by the District Attorney. Afternoon sports included foot races and pony races, with a well attended evening dance led by violinist M. D. Quacken bush. Ed Freudenthal managed events and the dance, while stage timing and travel to Caliente were noted. A critical, satirical section targets a local group described as Butinsky and exposed social ills, followed by remarks on regional progress, railroad prospects, and ongoing mining assessment near the Garrison claims.

Bristol Mines Lease Ends and Ore Stockpiles Remain
On July 1 the Lloyd and Christian lease expired and operations paused until Bristol Mining Smelter Corporation secures new arrangements. Much low grade ore had been hoisted, with several hundred tons of high grade left on the dump ready to ship. Last leasers extracted 40 percent copper and over 1000 oz silver per ton, as Bristol proves practical judgment over theory. The town buzzed on the Fourth with visitors and new arts booming in Bristol.
