A Nevada Utah M and Corp power and hoisting plant at Jack Rabbit is described as one of the most complete and systematically arranged in the district under Superintendent Wickes and Master Mechanic Samuel Whitney. The engine room houses two large air compressors, a 100 horsepower engine for the ton skip, and a light filled ceiled interior. The boiler room contains eighty and sixty horsepower boilers with a narrow gauge track behind for fuel handling. The Onondaga shaft at 450 feet will deepen to meet the Day drift at 900 feet, under Foreman Wm Locke. Completion may take months, but ore movement will boost with the drifted connections.
