W A Clark Jr takes over Ida May property near Bristol after favorable reports by J A Ryan and A C Stevens. Clark plans vigorous development with Mr Ryan as general manager as Pioche eyes a bright mining future amid expanding ore bodies and railroad demand.
The Ely District frontier west of Pioche gains attention as investors, engineers, and prospectors study new ore sources. Jas Tulloch and partners Ransom Tower and Thomas Tulloch unveil intrusions and north south deposits, reshaping beliefs about Yubadyke ore origins and sparking active development.
In Pioche a group led by Mr. Tulloch and partners including Samuel Doll and Thos. Tulloch with Ransom Tower develop nine contiguous mineral claims near Pioche. Key sites include the Apler and Cuperite King shafts with ore bearing gold silver lead and copper. the Golden Fleece offers 12 to 50 percent silver and $12 gold. A prophyry intrusion promises large sulfide bodies. local support and a brave Mrs. Tower bolster optimism despite early development. J F Weathers of Columbus, Georgia, touring local properties, finds promising prospects. Become a regular RECORD reader.
Mr Mendenhall of Deal Bros Mendenhall says the Pioche and Caliente railroad will begin active construction in ten to twelve days once the washout is repaired. Machinery and stock are near Moapa awaiting passage. Piochers fear delays but the report backs hopes that railroad day can be set for the fourth of July.
H M Joy reports Ida Mae Annex on five claims Fox Terrier Ohio Michigan Blue Bird Flotella in fine condition. Fox Terrier shaft reaches fifteen feet with rich silver carbonate ore. development along shaft tunnel and other workings progress. Los Angeles investors back major expansion and machinery from Los Angeles is en route for quick installation.
Statements from Lincoln county mining firms show 1906 year end results. Bamberger-Delamar reports gross $134,241.32 with a loss of $50,296.37. Quartette gross $96,460.47 with net gain $14,077.62 and tax $344.90. Christian & Lloyd gross $63,509.54 with net $6,319.10 and tax $154.81. Potosi Zinc-Leading gross $50,865.15 with net $2,299.29. Duplex Mining of Searchlight shows gross $0 with net profit about $15,000.
John C. Tyler reports a rich copper strike in Mormon Mountain about 40 miles south of Caliente. Locators Daniel Tyler I. Tyler and J. T. Dobbins describe a 10 to 20 foot wide ledge tracing three claims with a certificate valuing croppings at 22.50 in copper, as excitement grows while they assess the extent.
Pioche Mines Incorporate takes over the Welland and Bingham properties to form an eight claim outfit. Authorized for 1 000 000 shares with 500 000 in treasury and 500 000 offered at ten cents. Subscriptions handled by W F Scheffel. receipts issued in lieu of stock certificates to be printed later. Plan includes sinking a shaft and crosscut with immediate development funds. Around 200 mining filings entered at the county recorder during the week. Searchlight District reports strong Pioche representation.
