W. C. Goodman who went to Salt Lake last week with a Willow Creek tunnel ore consignment claimed the shipment was worth 2969. Nine sacks weighing 802 pounds yield about 36 a pound. Stockholders greet high grade ore as valuable. experts estimate averages from 2 to et a pound. Henry Friedman sampled Willow Creek ore and reported 77818 in gold plus 1066 in silver per ton, per Ely Record.

New Water Law to Be Tested in Humboldt River Case

Carbon City October 20 William Kearney state engineer left yesterday for Winnemucca to appear in district court in an action brought by ranchers over Humboldt river water for irrigation. Attorney General Thatcher represents the state in a case that attacks the constitutionality of the new water law. It is considered the most important action in years.

New Land Office opens January 2 in Elko Nevada
