J D Wood prominent Salt Lake mine operator died last Sunday evening after being struck by an engine while crossing tracks near the Salt Lake Route depot. The victim, once aboard a Pullman sleeper, was en route to Provhe to inspect mining interests with partners including Simon Bamberger.
