Poiche Man Dies in Los Angeles
David Wertheimer of this city received word from Los Angeles that his father Leopold Wertheimer, well known here, died in Los Angeles at age 71. He left Monday for San Francisco for the funeral and burial next Wednesday. The couple had lived together nearly sixty years. Wertheimer, born in Germany, came to the United States about 65 years ago and to California in 1850. He engaged in mining and general merchandise in the region for years and had business interests in Ploche and Delamar Nevada. Eight children survive including David Wertheimer and Mrs Ernest L. Godba, Louis Wertheimer, Charles Wertheimer, Samual Wertheimer, Mrs Lats of Portland, Mrs Noe, and Miss Susan Wertheimer.
