Nevada-tah mill project begins on Consolidated plant

Work started on the Consolidated Nevada-Utah corporation mill project clearing grounds and replacing railroad tracks. The old water tank will be removed for an iron tank, with ore processing by wet gravity, flotation, and zinc lead iron concentrates carrying gold and silver. The plant will use local skilled labor, with a 40 to 75 ton daily capacity and operations hoped by March, powered by Fairbanks-Mno engine units.

Greenwood Leasing Company at Work in Mine

The Greenwood Leasing Company, after securing a five year lease on the Greenwood mine, begins operations with retimbering and shaping 300 foot level drifts. E H Snyder, manager, organizes with Utah mine manager E W Clark and other Salt Lake mining men. The Doris Mining and Milling Company, formed by the same group, takes over Snyder’s old dump below the No 3 shaft to enlarge a cyanide plant. The dump, from early days, holds thousands of tons of low grade ore now deemed commercially valuable.

Tonopah Mining declares quarterly dividend in Philadelphia

At a meeting in Philadelphia last week the Tonopah Mining Company of Nevada declared a regular quarterly dividend of 15 cents a ghara payable January 21. The total dividend declared amounts to 159000 dollars, bringing cumulative dividends paid to date to 13450090 dollars.

Pioche Barber Makes Non Skid Sidewalk In Front

George Dorothy has installed a non skid sidewalk before his Pioche barber shop. The feature is noted as properly named and under observation from several angles. Joe Taylor, manager of Bag s or Gold Mining Co., visited town to oversee shipment of X Ray mine equipment to the Easter property. He financed the Easter company, arranged for a 100 ton pulley erection, and purchased a large auto track and touring car. Destralt tests showed 86 percent gold extraction, with ore values from 4 to 10 dollars, claiming about a million tons in sight near Callente Lincoln County.
