Mining in Pioche District in 1921 Faces Mixed Fortunes
The Pioche district in 1921 saw halted main mine development at Silverhorn and Prince Consolidated, but a surge of activity elsewhere. Virginia Louise and Prince mines paused, while Black Metals at Jackrabbit struck ore and Bristol Silver Mines shipped steadily. New investor interest rose as engineers reported substantial ore reserves and favorable conditions amid fluctuating freight rates and smelter charges.
