Silver Price Rise Predicted Boosts Nevada Camps

A Tonopah mining figure relays a London report delaying silver supply at 60 cents an ounce to be delivered by January 1, sparking expectations of a strong market in Nevada. Officials and brokers foresee employment growth and revival of historic silver camps such as Belmont, Austin, Eureka, and Virginia City as prices climb toward and beyond 60 cents. Normal School Bills and Fur Trade Adverts in Lincoln County

The record notes a county bill to the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners dated December 6 1015 totaling costs at the Normal School including Crocker & Co book purchases. Apportionment Act Questioned By Senator Fulmer

Senator Jake Fulmer says the apportionment law may be challenged arguing county representation in the legislature is not tied to population. He notes Clark County has two assemblymen while Lincoln has one despite Lincoln’s larger population. He also cites Washoe’s large population but equal representation in the upper house and predicts Bikl county could gain a senator after the next session unless the act is changed.

Prince Con Shipments Total 110400 Tons for Eleven Months

Two Mexicans Held Up and Robbed on Main Street

Two Mexicans were held up and robbed on Main street late Tuesday evening, losing about $18 in cash and two checks. A man named West was arrested and held briefly by Sheriff Ronnow, but a later investigation found insufficient cause to detain him further.

Bristol Mines Christmas Tree Planned By Local Talent

W Dickle came in from Bristol to help finalize arrangements for the Bristol Mines Christmas tree to be given next Saturday evening in Bristol. The event is organized by local Bristol talent with no appeals to eastern friends or contributions this year. Appropriate exercises are planned and workers in the mines at Bristol and nearby areas are expected to participate.

Moris Bowling Pleads Guilty in Assault Case

FW. Dickle swore to a complaint this morning charging Moris Bowling with assault and battery. The defendant pleaded guilty before Justice Harris and was fined ten dollars and fifty cents plus a reprimand.
