In Las Vegas President W A Clark says the contract for thirty miles of the new line down Meadow Valley wash below Caliente will be let next week with work to start after September 1. He expects Miller Pass route to be built and notes repairs cost about $500000 already incurred. Bones in shaft tell grim tale of murders found near California Probe Mine

Three skeletons a man a woman and a dog unearthed in a bottom shaft on the California Probe Mining property by William Wheatley and son Eben last Saturday. A rock pile above the bodies and fractured skulls imply cold blood murder and an attempt to hide evidence. Identification impossible, and the owners say the shaft dates back over forty years and was reopened during annual assessment work. Justice Garvon supervised the exhumed remains burial Wednesday.
