Death in an Arizona mine shocks town
A fatal mining accident at the South Homestate mine claims William Gallacher after a 860 foot fall in the shaft. He died in a tunnel misstep while intoxicated and was later laid to rest at the Congregational church amid a large crowd of mourners. Mrs Gallacher and four children suffer a heavy loss as the community offers condolences.

The Old Abe Company offers a 300 dollar reward for arrest or conviction of any person stealing ore or specimens from the company. All specimens must be returned and kept by the company while receivers with knowledge are considered guilty in law for aiding theft.
