Pecos Valley Rail Extension Aims at White Oaks Route
The Pecos Valley railroad plans an extension from Roswell to White Oaks and Bernal to connect with the Santa Fe main line, backed by Hagerman and Eddy. The route would tap White Oaks mineral districts and coal fields, create an Eastern market for Pecos valley produce, and spur regional industrial growth.
