Lincoln county Democratic convention elects officers and delegates
The Lincoln county Democratic convention met August 18 1902 for Lincoln County. Judge A Lawrence was named temporary chair with Manuel Sisneros as temporary secretary. Delegates from precincts were chosen for credentials and permanent organization committees. The body elected permanent chairman JF Mintle and permanent secretary HF Hine, set delegates to Roswell and Las Cruces conventions, and named nominees for county offices including sheriff probate court treasurer school superintendent surveyor coroner and two county commissioners from districts 1 and 2. The convention adjourned after appointing a county central committee and endorsing future party work along the Denver to El Paso line.
