Santa Fe extends line ties to Pecos City in Texas

The San Angelo Standard reports Santa Fe orders lumber mill ties in east Texas to extend the line from San Angelo to Pecos City, with plans to begin soon. J. J. Hagerman has raised capital to connect the Pecos Valley line with the main A T S F system, under an agreement requiring 160 miles of road from San Angelo to Pecos City by that northern link. The project would shorten the Galveston to Los Angeles route by about 350 miles.
