Karnes toured the local school, planned visits to Teller Deering Candle Kotzebue and Haycock, and noted the trip will continue to many northern sites before returning to Juneau in October. He was hosted at a luncheon with the Nome School Board City Council and M J Walsh of the Territorial Board of Education.
